I took the merc back down to delaware to have the guy who did my dyno tune fab up a new EGR pipe and put my system back together. Hopefully now I can pass inspection once this is done since it hasn't been inspected since last august and thats an arrest-able offense in the great state of NJ.

They can arrest you for something that trivial in NJ? That sucks. My grandma's p71 had a clogged cat, so I just cut them all out and put some glasspacks on it. The bastard had like four catalytic converters.

Yes in NJ you can be arrested for having an expired inspection. I got a ticket for it once but my friend who is a dispatcher for another county (one I dont venture into often its an hour away) said he has heard of teenagers getting arrested over it but old people let go.

Ford uses a 4 cat system (for whatever reason), the primary cats do most of the work, the secondary cats are only for oxidation. I had rear cat deletes a while ago (real common on these cars) but I have long tube headers now with 3" cats.

We don't even have inspections in TN. My family doesn't own a single vehicle with functioning emmissions equipment.

It's pretty gearhead friendly here, no inspections and you can get stuff titled pretty easily. Unfortunately, the weather is just humid enough to make things rust out so the junkyards aren't very good.

we have road salt, we have our fair share of rust problems. The exhaust just snapped off my truck last week

On one hand I despise yearly inspections, but on the other Florida.
